Meet Principal Becker

I have been blessed to spend my career in Lutheran education and have called Immanuel Lutheran School home for many years. I currently serve as principal and also have the opportunity to coach both volleyball and basketball. I earned my bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Concordia University River Forest, and I truly enjoy serving our students, families, and staff each day.

My wife, Cena, teaches 8th grade here at Immanuel, and we have two children, Jacob and Sophia. We live in Lake in the Hills and love being part of the Immanuel family. When I’m not at school or in the gym, you’ll probably find me watching or attending a sporting event. I’m a lifelong Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears fan, and I love just about anything sports-related.

The best part of Immanuel is the people. I enjoy getting to know our students and families and building relationships that last well beyond the classroom. One of my favorite Bible verses is John 16:33: “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” That promise has been a source of strength and encouragement throughout my life, and it’s a reminder I carry with me every day.
