For generations, Immanuel Lutheran School has partnered with families to nurture students in a safe, faith-filled learning environment.

Rooted in Lutheran tradition, we remain focused on drawing families closer to the person of Jesus Christ and assure them of his gifts, namely, the abundance of life on earth and the endless life in heaven. As guided by the Holy Spirit, our school – with the church and parents cooperating as a body of Christ – strives to educate every child to be an academically successful student, a socially responsible citizen, and a Christian witness to his/her fellow human beings.

Student Life

At Immanuel, our week is centered on Wednesday Chapel, where students, families, and staff gather to worship and grow in God's Word. This shared time in Christ's presence shapes everything we do—from the classroom to athletics, music, fine arts and more.

Chapel at Immanuel is an opportunity for students to deepen their faith as both worshipers and active participants, building a Christ-centered foundation that guides their learning, relationships, and daily lives.

Athletics

Immanuel’s athletics help students grow in character, teamwork, and faith. Through practice and competition, our athletes strive to do their best while honoring Christ and serving as positive role models on and off the field.

Our History

Over 150 Years of Christian Education and School History

Immanuel Lutheran School has operated continuously since 1863, making it one of the most fundamental establishments in the Dundee area regarding community and education. It has grown from a one teacher school to the present facility and staff. The present facilities are the result of major remodeling and expansion in 1955 and subsequent additional improvements, which include 12 classrooms, a gymnasium, a faculty work room, a resource center, a computer lab, a science lab, and provisions for duplication, storage, and maintenance.

Immanuel Lutheran School is one of over 1400 Christian Day Schools operated by congregations of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod. It includes Preschool 3 and 4, Kindergarten, and Grades 1-8, and its graduates are recognized by public high schools. Historically, Immanuel has been blessed with the opportunity to educate students across many generations.
