Meet Mrs. Leitner

I graduated from Valparaiso University in 1993 with a degree in Education. In 1994, I married my husband, and together we have been blessed with two wonderful children, Daniel and Roslyn. Both attended Immanuel, where they received an outstanding Christian education that provided a strong foundation for their success in both high school and college.

My teaching career began as a 5th-grade teacher at Neubert Elementary School in Algonquin. After several years in the classroom, I chose to stay home to raise our children, a time that I will always cherish. Today, I am grateful to have the opportunity to teach part-time in 2nd grade alongside Susan Meier at Immanuel.

In addition to teaching, I enjoy coaching basketball and encouraging students both in the classroom and on the court. Teaching 2nd grade at Immanuel is truly my dream job. I love the enthusiasm, curiosity, and excitement our students bring each day, and I feel incredibly blessed to be part of a school community that helps children grow academically, socially, and in their faith.
