Meet Mrs. McKee

I’m so happy to be part of the ILS community. As an East Dundee resident, it’s especially meaningful to teach in the town my family calls home. I earned my Master’s degree in Education and have had the privilege of teaching amazing minds for the past 13 years in both classroom and online settings. One of the things I love most about teaching is watching students experience those incredible “a-ha!” moments when something they’ve been working hard to understand finally clicks. Seeing their confidence grow is the best part!

When I’m not in the classroom, you’ll find me with my husband and our beautiful daughter, who also attends ILS. My husband and I have been married for 15 blessed years and love being part of this amazing school community. When I'm not geeking out with data and all things tech, I love curling up with a great book, dancing any chance I get, rollerblading, going up to Wisconsin, and spending time with family and friends.

Above all, my faith in Christ is the foundation of my life and the heart behind why I teach. I believe every child is uniquely created by God with incredible potential, and I feel blessed to encourage, support, and cheer on my students as they grow academically, personally, and spiritually. I can’t wait for a wonderful year of learning together!
