Meet Mrs. Meier

I grew up in Bay City, Michigan. I attended Valley Lutheran High School in Saginaw, Michigan and Concordia University River Forest, Illinois. After graduating with an Elementary Education degree in 2003, I taught a combined classroom of 1st and 2nd grade for two years in Rock Island, Illinois.

In 2005, I married David Meier and started teaching 2nd grade here at Immanuel. In 2009, I was blessed to shift to a shared teaching position for 2nd Grade with my dear friend, Cheryl. In 2011, I received my Masters in Early Childhood Education from Northern Illinois University.

My husband is the Director of Christian Education/Vicar at Immanuel. We have three amazing children, Clara, Evelyn, and Will. I enjoy reading, camping with my family, and traveling. I am passionate about teaching 2nd Graders. I love teaching them about God's great love and getting a front row seat to watching them grow!
