Meet Mrs. Navarro

I have been teaching 5th grade at Immanuel since 2022. Prior to stepping into this role, I served as the 5th–8th grade teacher aide for 11 years. Throughout my career, I have also taught Kindergarten, 1st grade, and 2nd grade in both Sterling, Illinois, and here at Immanuel. In addition to my teaching responsibilities, I serve as Immanuel's Athletic Director.

I have been married to my husband, Al, since 1997, and we have two sons, Albert and Timothy. In 2026, we were blessed to welcome a daughter-in-law when Albert was married. Immanuel holds a special place in our family's history—our sons are third-generation Immanuel graduates, following in the footsteps of both my father and me. Outside of school, I enjoy gardening, spending time with my family, and cheering on our favorite sports teams.

I love teaching 5th grade and witnessing God's hand at work in the friendships and connections they build as they become involved in musical groups, sports teams, and other extracurricular activities. Seeing students find their place, build meaningful relationships, and gain confidence in themselves is one of the most fulfilling parts of teaching.
