Meet Pastor Tanney

I have been blessed to serve as Associate Pastor at Immanuel Lutheran Church and School since my installation in July of 2024. This is my first call after graduating from Concordia Seminary.

Before entering the pastoral ministry, I graduated from Concordia University, Nebraska, and I served for six years as a middle school math and science teacher at St. Paul’s Lutheran School in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin and loved every minute of it!

My wife, Nicole, has a teaching degree, and together we have four wonderful children: Etta, Sloane, Milo, and Quinn. They keep life full of energy, laughter, and adventure.

In my free time, I enjoy staying active through sports, playing music, and getting out on the disc golf course. I’m always willing to try a new sport or activity and enjoy spending time with others, whether it’s on the field, on the course, or around the table. It is a joy and privilege to serve the members of Immanuel as we grow together in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
